CLEVELAND — The man accused of killing Gloria Pointer nearly 30 years ago faced a judge Tuesday morning.

Hernandez Warren, 58, has been charged in an 8 count indictment that includes aggravated murder, rape, and kidnapping.

Warren was arrested when investigators reanalyzed DNA stains on Pointer’s clothing and found a match to him.

Pointer was 14 years old when her body was found at the bottom of a fire escape on Orville Avenue on December 6th, 1984. She had been beaten and raped.

Warren plead not guilty to the indictment charges Tuesday. The judge ordered his original bond to continue at $5 million bond.
