ONTARIO, Canada — A photographer from Canada is sharing fascinating photographs of a home he says has been untouched for 30 years, the contents still preserved inside.

Eerie, breathtaking and weird are just a few of the words the man known only as Dave, of Freaktography, uses to describe the abandoned house in a lengthy blog about his find.

He discovered the home in Ontario as part of his adventures as an urban explorer, searching for abandoned properties.

“To walk into a room and see so many possessions and belongings still in exactly the place they were meant to be, was unsettling,” he said in the blog.

He and another photographer explored the home room by room — the dining room with a hutch still holding polished silverware and the living room, where there was a guitar on the coffee table.

There were old photos and mementos in the bedrooms, and the bathroom cabinet was still stocked with medicine and toiletries.

After photographing each room and as many items as they could, the two left, making sure everything was in its place as they’d found it.
