‘Thank you for your service Butchie’: Ashtabula County Sheriff’s Office mourns loss of K9 officer

ASHTABULA COUNTY, Ohio (WJW) — The Ashtabula County Sheriff’s Office is mourning the loss of a beloved K9 officer.

K9 Butch passed away on Thursday after serving the community alongside his partner, Dep. Brian Sterrick, for nine years.

“Thank you for your service ‘Butchie,'” the sheriff’s office wrote on Facebook. “May you rest in peace.”
