BEREA, Ohio (WJW) — Berea police and firefighters responded to Wallace Lake on Sunday afternoon for a drowning.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner has identified James L Ottobre, 36, of Strongsville who was recovered from the lake at around 2:45 p.m. and taken to Southwest General Hospital emergency room.
Witnesses say they saw him fishing when his kayak overturned, according to Cleveland Metroparks.
The Metroparks says he was not wearing a life jacket.
