I-71 Reopens After Light Pole Debris is Removed

BROOK PARK, Ohio — A spokesperson for the Ohio Department of Transportation tells Fox 8 News that all lanes are now open on Interstate 71 southbound near the Brookpark Road overpass.

A Cleveland Police dispatcher earlier told Fox 8 News that all lanes of I-71 southbound had been shut down near Engle Road because of a snapped light pole.

ODOT’s Amanda Lee says that crews spent the better part of an hour performing clean-up operations. As of 1 p.m., all of the highway debris had been removed.
