ATHENS, Ohio — Ohio University students were warned to be extra aware on campus after a kidnapping and rape was reported on Tuesday.
According to the Athens City Police Department, a female student said she was walking along Richland Ave., just north of the roundabout, when a vehicle stopped her.
A driver allegedly exited the vehicle, threatened the student with a knife and forced her into the vehicle.
He then drove to a nearby area, the student said, where he raped her.
The incident allegedly happened around 4 a.m. on April 8.
