The 9th annual Operation Giving Tree is today right here at FOX 8!

This year the toy drive is going to be bigger and better than ever.

Thanks to your generosity and the outpouring of toys we receive every year, we have been able to reach out to other counties to offer support.

This year the toys will go to children from Cuyahoga, Lorain, Lake, Summit and Medina counties that are in county care.

Your help and support has made a huge difference in the lives of many children at Christmastime.

So many of you have made this a holiday event.  So today, Wednesday, November 26 between 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., we will be collecting new, unwrapped toys in the FOX 8 front yard.

We are located at 5800 South Marginal Road in Cleveland.  The first 100 people who stop by will receive a mystery Panera Gift Card.

Here is what we need:

    • action figures
    • a diverse mix of dolls
    • toy strollers
    • tea sets
    • basketballs and footballs
    • cars and trucks
    • games
    • puzzles
    • bath and body products
    • mp3 players
    • $30 gift cards so the older teens can purchase something they need.

You can bring any new toy or item you think a child or teen would like. We will be sharing the gifts between all five counties. Your gift can make all the difference in a child’s life this year.  Without you, they may not receive anything at all.
