COLUMBUS, OH — While Ohio State narrowly escaped with a win over Michigan Saturday in the 109th edition of the border battle, the Buckeyes are still facing scrutiny after two players, along with one Michigan player, were ejected during the first half of the game.
Early in the second quarter, tensions boiled over following a kickoff return to Ohio State’s Dontre Wilson. During the brawl, someone appeared to pull off Wilson’s helmet.
Wilson, Ohio State starting right guard Marcus Hall and Michigan linebacker Royce Jenkins-Stone were ejected from the game.
During Hall’s exit, he displayed obscene hand gestures to the Michigan fans, which were caught on camera.
Hall tweeted an apology for his behavior on Sunday.
It’s unclear whether any of the players will face further discipline. The Buckeyes are scheduled to play Michigan State in next week’s Big Ten championship game.
