The Ohio State Buckeyes have kept their fans on the edge of their seats this NCAA tournament as Thursday’s match-up against Arizona came down the final seconds, much like the team’s previous game against Iowa State.
LaQuinton Ross sunk a three-pointer, giving the Buckeyes the 73-70 advantage they needed to win the game and advance to the Elite 8.
It was a sluggish start for the scarlet and grey, but the team managed to creep within four points by the half when Arizona led 38-34.
The Buckeyes’ defense kicked into gear when the team returned to the court, but Arizona still managed to tie it up close to the end.
Ross made the winning shot, leaving only two seconds for Arizona to work with and they just couldn’t produce.
On Saturday, Ohio State will play Wichita State at 7:05 p.m. at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
