RICHMOND HEIGHTS, Ohio-- Police and state agents are investigating a police-involved shooting on Geraldine Avenue in Richmond Heights that happened just before 8 p.m. Sunday.
Four officers were responding to the home for a call of a suicidal male, according to Police Chief Gene Rowe.
The suspect, who was alone, fired at the officer and the officer fired back. The suspect was killed, Rowe said.
The officer is at Hillcrest Hospital in serious, but stable condition. He is a 19-year veteran of the force.
