LUBBOCK, Texas — A Texas mom’s sexy business idea could land her in trouble with the law.
Melissa Borrett created a fantasy maid service to make ends meet as a single mom. She and the women she hires clean homes in skimpy lingerie or, when asked, completely nude.
The Lubbock Fantasy Maid Service has been in business for nearly a month.
“We’ve had college students, business people and paramedics,” Borrett said. “We actually offer a discount to law enforcement.”
Law enforcement, however, isn’t appreciating the gesture. Police consider the maid service a sexually oriented business, which requires a permit. If they continue, Borrett could be slapped with a $2,000 fine.
Customers won’t get in trouble, police say.
Borrett argues that she shouldn’t need a permit because no sexual services are exchanged for money.
Authorities say if they get a complaint, they will investigate the business.
