LONGMONT, Colorado (CNN) — Paramedics in Longmont, near Denver, were coming to help an 86-year-old woman after she fell early Sunday morning.
But while they were treating her, someone drove off in their ambulance.
Police say 51-year-old Robert Taylor stopped after about six blocks.
He told officers that he got in the ambulance because he was cold.
Police say Taylor failed a field sobriety test.
DUI and theft aren’t the only charges he faces.
Taylor also had an outstanding felony warrant for escaping from the Colorado Department of Corrections.
