Doctors in China worked for eight hours to remove a twisted steel bar from a man’s head.

KTLA reports that the man crashed his motorcycle into a construction zone, lodging the bar through his right eye socket. It took firefighters four hours to cut down the twisted steel before the man was rushed to the hospital.

Luckily, the man did not lose his eye, and is expected to recover.
