OBERLIN, OH -  They were alarming posts on social media.

An Oberlin College professor posted anti-Semitic rhetoric on her personal Facebook page, and it didn't take long for students and other faculty to see it. But despite the posts, the college says she can keep her job.

Fox 8's Jennifer Jordan has reaction to the controversial decision in the video above.

The Jewish Federation of Cleveland released the following statement:

“We are profoundly disappointed to learn of a professor with such hateful, malicious, and anti-Semitic views on such a distinguished campus as Oberlin College. We acknowledge the long standing right to freedom of speech yet this anti-Semitic rhetoric crosses the line into hate speech. The President’s recent personal comments resonated and we encourage Oberlin College to seize this teaching moment. “
