(WJW) – Several Northeast Ohio schools, including Akron City Schools, were closed Wednesday as a blast of snow and gusty winds hit the region.

Several communities also issued parking bans and snow emergencies.
A winter storm warning was issued for Ottawa and Sandusky counties, while a winter storm advisory was issued for most other Northeast Ohio counties.
