TEMPE, Ariz. — If a proposal by Republican lawmakers in Arizona becomes law, college students with a “free ride” would still have to pay $2,000 in tuition, MyFoxPhoenix.com reports.

The new fee would apply for the state’s three public universities. Grants and/or scholarships would not cover it.
