SAN DIEGO - Luna fell of a boat back in late January while she was out with her owner.
Even though she was a strong swimmer, after searching for a week, he assumed she hadn't made it.
According to NBC San Diego, Luna showed up on Tuesday at the Naval Auxiliary Landing Field San Clemente Island.
Her owner, Nick Hayworth stayed at sea for two days to look for Luna, but could never find her. Navy staff assisted, but was also unsuccessful.
That's why Navy officials were shocked to see Luna sitting near the road Tuesday morning.
She was in good health overall, just slightly malnourished. Officials think she survived off mice.
