CLEVELAND- There is new information in the murder of a Cleveland firefighter, the Fox 8 I-Team learned on Thursday.
The autopsy report for 58-year-old Theodore Wright showed he had cocaine in his system when he died.
Last May, Wright, a 32-year veteran of the Cleveland Division of Fire, crashed his pickup truck into a pole on Claasen Avenue near East 71st Street and died. Police later learned he had been shot in the arm and torso.
This week, a grand jury indicted Slater Howell III, 20, on aggravated murder and aggravated robbery charges in connection with Wright’s death. Howell is already serving time for burglary and assault.
Wright was off duty at the time of the shooting. He left behind a wife and three children.
