CLEVELAND, Ohio — Major League Baseball is taking a step toward beefing up security, and the Cleveland Indians are part of the transition.
MLB has told 30 teams they must implement security screening for fans by 2015.
The options include either handheld metal detectors or walk-through magnetometers.
The Indians will be working with the league to implement the safety feature, but no start dates have been confirmed.
League teams have already limited the size of bags that fans are allowed to bring into parks.
