MEDINA COUNTY, Ohio (WJW) — The search continues for a boater who went missing on Chippewa Lake.
Crews were searching for a missing boater on the late Saturday night until 3 a.m., the sheriff’s office confirmed.
Search and rescue efforts resumed around noon Sunday.
Officials have set up perimeters with search dogs and boats in effort to locate the missing person.
The Medina County Sheriff’s Office issued a public notice about an ongoing investigation that caused a park to have to close Sunday.
The lake itself also remains closed to the public.
In a Facebook post, the sheriff’s office said the park will remain closed until the Medina County Park District and Ohio Department of Natural Resources reopen it.
