CLEVELAND (WJW) — It started with stomach problems as a child and turned into a scary diagnosis years later.

Dr. Stefan Holubar, a colorectal surgeon with the Cleveland Clinic, found himself battling stage three colon cancer while in medical school, even having to treat himself.

But he was able to turn his challenges into important lessons for his patients.
