Masked Man Robs Akron Drug Store

AKRON, Ohio — Police are asking for help identifying the suspect in an aggravated robbery at an Akron drug store.

According to police, it happened at Rite Aid, 325 E. Waterloo Road, late last month.

Police said at around 11 p.m. the suspect entered the store wearing a ski mask. He told the clerk he “would blow a hole the size of Texas” in him if he didn’t give him the money from the register, according to police.

The suspect had something in his hand emitting a red laser.

The suspect then took the money and fled, heading north.

The suspect is described as being white, between 5’9″ and 5’10”. He was wearing a dark blue jacket with a horizontal stripe, blue jeans, tan boots or shoes and creme colored gloves.

The suspect is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on the crime or the suspect is asked to call Akron police.
