MANSFIELD, Ohio--  He's making headlines across the world: an admitted polygamist pastor who lives right here in Northeast Ohio.

Thom Miller is a 60-year-old pastor who is generating attention not only for his beliefs, but because one of his wives is only 19 years old.

Fox 8's Melissa Reid was the only local television reporter to sit down with the pastor and his two wives.

Miller said he is choosing to go public with his story because of a custody battle involving his children that started before he shared that he was a polygamist.

"It's good that it's out, but it's not how we wanted to do it. We were living a private life," said Miller.

But that life went public recently after Miller married his 19-year-old girlfriend, Reba, with the blessings of his wife Belinda, who is 44.

"I was perfectly okay with it. I wasn't jealous. I was helping him picking out his clothes; I was taking her shopping," said Belinda.

Reba is now 23-weeks pregnant.

She said she met Miller when she started volunteering at the church as a young girl. "What did I think of him? Honestly, I was scared of him. I was intimidated at first, you know, being little," said Reba.

Miller said this summer, he married Reba in the same exact church he married Belinda seven years ago.

"We have a big house. Lots of rooms. I'll just leave it at that," said Miller.

While Miller believes what he is doing is right, the United States does not.

According to the Ohio Revised Code, no married person shall marry another or continue to cohabit with such other person in this state.

But Miller said he only has a marriage license to Belinda.

"Bygamy is having more than one marriage license. Polgamy is having more than one marriage spiritually," said Miller.

Miller also runs a food pantry out of the church and ministers to prison inmates.

But he said the backlash over their lifestyle has taken away his congregation and now possibly, his children.
