Man visits grocery store to rob bank

CANTON, OH – A 37-year-old man paid a visit to a grocery store yesterday, but he wasn’t buying food.

Canton police report that Charles Becker III went to the Giant Eagle on Raff Road and gave a teller at the Huntington Bank branch there a note demanding money. He left before police arrived, but was located and arrested a few hours later.

Becker had been released from prison on March 25th, and is back in jail again now. He is being held on a $100,000 bond in the Start County Jail.
