CLEVELAND- Investigators arrested a man accused of assaulting an Oakwood police officer in Cleveland, the U.S. Marshals say.
Brico Allen, 20, was wanted for felonious assault. Members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force caught up with Allen in the East 137th Street on Monday. Marshals said he was in a stolen vehicle, which he crashed during a short chase.
Earlier this month, Allen assaulted an officer and stole the police cruiser, according to Marshals. He’s also suspected in several other crimes over the past two weeks.
“This fugitive has been wreaking havoc in the Cleveland neighborhoods, hard work and dedication by members of the task force and the Cleveland Police Department has paid off. The streets will be safer tonight with Brico Allen behind bars,” U.S. Marshal Pete Elliot said in a news release on Monday.
