AKRON, Ohio- Akron police are investigating after a man was shot and killed early Saturday morning.

Officers heard shots fired in the area of Cole Avenue and Andrus Street at about 1:30 a.m., Akron police said. They found the 60-year-old victim in the tree lawn.

Police said it appears he was shot while riding a bicycle.

The victim’s name has not been released. The Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct an autopsy.
