CHARDON, Ohio — A man accused of aggravated murder has accepted his responsibility for the crime.
Dustin Plottke entered a guilty plea Wednesday afternoon in Geauga County Common Pleas Court to an aggravated murder charge.
Prosecutor James Flaiz told Fox 8 he will recommend a term of life in prison with parole eligibility after 25 years.
Officials said Plottke killed 17-year-old Daniel Swan. Swan was found lying on Sidley Road July 25, 2010. He died a few weeks later.
Investigators said it was an unrelated burglary case that led them to arrests in the case nearly three years later.
Flaiz says he did not expect a plea to be made so soon. He said he expects family members of the victim to show up at sentencing which is set for Feb. 3.
A co-defendant in the case pleaded previously.
