STOW, Ohio — A Cuyahoga Falls man has been arrested in a violent robbery at a Stow Walmart Wednesday.

The suspect, Henry Brown, 42, faces charges of aggravated robbery, resisting arrest and drug paraphernalia.

The incident happened at just after 5:30 a.m. at 3520 Hudson Drive.

A man wearing a mask was waiting in the line of a female cashier. As he approached, police reports say he pulled a small gun from his ankle area and pointed it at her, demanding money from the register.

When she was unable to open the register, the suspect struck her in the head with the butt of a gun. He then pulled her by the hair to another register, where a male employee was able to open the register and give him money.

The female cashier was on the floor at that point due to her injuries. He then grabbed her by the hair and began dragging her toward the door.

Another male employee tried to intervene and tackled the suspect. The suspect hit that employee in the head with the butt of the gun, let go of the female and fled the store.

A Walmart employee quickly called 911, described the suspect and told police where the he had headed.

Police quickly arrived and were able to find the suspect behind a store adjacent to the Walmart. After a short struggle, he was arrested.

The two employees hurt during the robbery were treated and released from a local hospital.

Brown was set to be arraigned Thursday morning.
