Elyria bank robbery suspect arrested in Lorain

ELYRIA, Ohio– The Cleveland Division of the FBI identified and then later arrested a man it says robbed a bank in Elyria.

It happened at the Fifth Third Bank on Broad Street at about 1:40 p.m.

The FBI said the man handed the teller a demand note and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash. No injuries were reported.

Later in the day, he was identified as 30-year-old Jeremy Lease. The FBI told FOX 8 a tipster saw the story on the news and contacted law enforcement. Lease was taken into custody in Lorain.
