PAINESVILLE, Ohio — The man accused of murdering and robbing a 77-year-old woman with the help of his mother has been found guilty on all charges in the case.
Zachary Weimer, 23, was convicted of 17 counts, which include aggravated murder and burglary. His mother, Danna Weimer, 52, was found guilty on the same 17 charges last month.
Eleanor Robertson, 77, was found dead in her bedroom with dozens of stab wounds in June.
Police say Zachary and his mother stabbed Robertson and then stole her jewelry in an attempt to feed their drug habits. Police recovered some Robertson’s belongings in Weimer’s car.
Danna Weimer is scheduled to be sentenced Dec. 12. A sentencing date has not yet been set for Zachary.
