CLEVELAND, (WJW)-- The man accused of running down a jogger in the Flats appeared in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court Thursday morning.
Marvin Fisher, 28, pleaded not guilty to attempted murder, aggravated robbery and felonious assault. His bond was set at $250,000.
Cleveland police said the victim was running on Franklin Avenue near the Columbus Road Bridge in Cleveland on Dec. 6.
According to prosecutors, the woman tried to get her phone to call 911 and handed it to a man she didn't recognize, hoping he would call for help. Instead, Fisher threw the phone and demanded the victim's money, prosecutors said.
Investigators were able to identify him thanks to surveillance video from Hoople's.
Earlier this year, Fisher was released from prison after serving 10 years for carjacking a woman in Cleveland while threatening her with a screwdriver.
