Man accused of threatening to kill people during Parma home invasion

PARMA, Ohio– A Cleveland man is facing charges for an armed home invasion in Parma last week.

Eugene D. Gill, 24, broke into a house on Spring Garden Road on Dec. 17, according to Parma police. He threatened to shoot people inside the home and stole a woman’s cell phone before fleeing, police said.

Officers chased Gill through several backyards on the street, and arrested him in the area of West 79th Street and Bertha Avenue. On Friday, police found his handgun.

Gill is charged with one count of aggravated robbery. He is being held at the Parma Police Detention Center on $150,000 bond. More charges are likely.
