Man accused of making creepy calls pleads not guilty

ELYRIA, Ohio– Gene Croy, Jr., 49, of Elyria, appeared in municipal court Wednesday to face numerous charges for allegedly making obscene phone calls.

He entered not guilty pleas and is free on bond.

North Ridgeville Lt. Greg Petek says Croy, Jr. is accused of making thousands of obscene calls to area businesses. Police say he called a tanning salon, retail stores, and a nursing home.

He is due back in court in December.
