Bond at $5 million for man accused of killing wife at Canton Township nursing home

CANTON, Ohio– The man accused of shooting and killing his estrange wife as she was leaving work at a Canton Township nursing home appeared in court Friday morning.

Bond for Dragan Sekulic, 37, was set at $5 million. His next hearing is Wednesday.

The Stark County Sheriff’s Office said 37-year-old Zeljka Sekulic was found dead in the parking lot of the Astoria Nursing Home on Wednesday. Zeljka was a nurse at the facility and left behind two children.

Deputies found Dragan Sekulic’s rental car at the Akron-Canton Airport hours later. He was arrested in southern Ohio soon after.

At the time of the shooting, Dragan Sekulic was out on bond for another domestic incident involving his wife.
