MEDINA COUNTY, OH – Three searches of Medina County homes have resulted in stopping a major drug ring in that area.

The Medina County Drug Task Force conducted the first search on August 27 in Wadsworth. Agents seized heroin, prescription drugs and drug paraphernalia. 33-year-old Miles Coblentz, who lived there, was arrested on a felony possession of heroin. He was taken to Medina County Jail.

The next day, agents searched two homes in Lodi. A number of used syringes and drug paraphernalia associated with heroin use were found in both homes. Rhonda Thomas, 32, of Lodi was arrested at one home on felony heroin trafficking charges.

An arrest warrant for Tracy Elliot, 42, also of Lodi was issued for the other home. She is wanted for felony drug trafficking.

According to Drug Task Force Director Gary Hubbard, this was a significant drug bust.  “It appears that this group was responsible for supplying much of the southern portion of Medina County with heroin and other drugs. Task force agents worked with Village of Lodi police officers to identify the source of the drugs and address the problem. The investigation continues and additional charges and arrests are expected.”
