Police chief says no charges expected after Madison Local Schools close following safety concerns

MADISON, Ohio - Madison Local Schools will be closed Friday, according to an announcement from the district.

The district reports it is closing out of an abundance of caution.

School leaders say Madison Township Police are investigating a threat against Madison High School.

Madison Township Police tell FOX 8 the threat is not credible.

911 callers reported to police there was a video threat made on social media.

The Madison Township Police Chief tells FOX 8 they have identified everyone involved.

He says no one is facing charges at this time.

In recent weeks, several schools in Northeast Ohio have been forced to close following threats.
