Lorain police warn public of attempted child luring

LORAIN, Ohio — Police in Lorain are warning the public about complaints regarding a man who reportedly tried to lure a child into his vehicle Tuesday.

According to a post on the Lorain Police Department’s Facebook page, the suspect was reportedly driving an older silver Honda Civic with rust on the bottom.

He reportedly asked a juvenile female to come to his vehicle in the area of West 18th Street and Hamilton Avenue. Instead, the girl ran home and reported the incident to her mother.

The suspect is described as being a black male, approximately 30 to 40 years old with a goatee and short hair.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call Lorain police.
