Suspect Arrested in Lorain Woman’s Murder

LORAIN, Ohio — Police on Thursday arrested a suspect after a 26-year-old woman was found dead in an apartment complex the day before.

According to Lorain police spokesman Lt. Mark Carpentiere, the body of Catherine Hoholski, of Lorain, was discovered at approximately 3:30 p.m. in her apartment at the Villas of Beau Monde on Tower Boulevard. Officers had gone to the complex after Hoholski’s parents reported her missing.

Further details about Hoholski’s death were not immediately released but were expected to be made public on Friday.

Carpentiere said Albert Fine, 30, of Lorain, was located in Lexington, Kentucky, around 7:30 p.m. on Thursday and arrested on a murder warrant.

A female person of interest, Merry Bennet (also known as Merry Rivera), 32, of Lorain, was also located in Lexington.

She was questioned but not arrested.

Fine will appear in court on Friday in Kentucky, before being extradited back to Ohio.

An autopsy was scheduled for Friday, as well.
