At a Republican gathering in Westlake many have gathered to monitor the latest results of the Republican Presidential Primary.

Fox 8 News' Suzanne Stratford reports that around 200 people are expected to attend the gathering at the Paninni’s Bar & Grille on Clague Road.

Stratford reports that those in attendance say they are excited about Ohio’s significance in the race and that the Buckeye state could be the springboard towards the Republican party picking the nominee…

Many political pundits, according to Stratford, have expressed a belief that if Romney wins Ohio big money donors and big name republicans will throw their support behind him. If Romney loses, they believe the race for the nomination could run right up to the convention.

Mark Boepple, President of the Westlake Republican Club says this coming presidential election is compelling and is causing many Democrats and Independents to cross ove.

“They were promised change and have seen a lot of it but not the change they feel they were promised," said Boepple.

However it seems the group at Panini’s is just as closely divided as to who should win.

Joe Wurzelbacher, also known as 'Joe The Plumber', who is himself running for congress, wouldn’t say who he voted for only stating that, “I’m glad to see people cast their votes. It’s  going to be interesting to see who wins. I'm just as anxious.”

Cuyahoga County Republican party chairman Rob Frost was also not willing to share who he voted for in the primary. He says he will support whoever wins tonight.

“Who do I like? I like the candidate who is going to be able to beat Barack Obama," said Frost.

Chairman Frost said Ohio is historically as important as any state when it comes to Presidential elections, since no Republican has won the White House without winning Ohio.

“Ohio is central and has been for the last several presidential elections.  I do think we’re going to see a significant change in this race momentum coming out of this primary race for somebody,” said Frost.
