CLEVELAND (WJW) — A woman has died after being ejected from a vehicle during a crash on Interstate 90 Wednesday afternoon.

At around 2 p.m. a Bentley was traveling on I-90 eastbound at a high speed. That is when the Bentley’s right front corner hit the back of a Jeep that was headed east on I-90.

The Jeep rolled over and the passenger, a 22-year-old woman, was ejected from the Jeep and landed in the road. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The Jeep slid on its roof and hit the median wall before it came to a stop. The Bentley also hit the median wall and came to a stop.

The man who was driving the Jeep fled from the scene on foot.

The 58-year-old man who was driving the Bentley was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center. Police confirmed he had multiple injuries as a result of the crash.

The crash shut down I-90 Eastbound near the West 25th Street exit Wednesday afternoon.

FOX 8’s SKYFOX showed a lot of debris from the scene and at least one vehicle flipped over following the collision.
