Cavs players speak to giant crowd, thank fans at celebration rally

CLEVELAND, Ohio — The biggest party Cleveland has ever seen was unbelievable.

The Greater Cleveland Sports Commission initially estimated about 1.3 million people were at today's parade and rally to honor the Cleveland Cavaliers. Later in the day, it was estimated at nearly two million people.

At the rally following the parade, several Cavs players spoke, thanking each other, the city of Cleveland and all their fans.

The Cavs took the NBA Championship title in Oakland Sunday, defeating the Warriors 93-89.

Cleveland police are asking anyone along the parade route to please move out of the way so that the parade can continue to the rally.

The parade began shortly after 11 a.m. and featured 60 units including floats, specialty vehicles, the Ohio State University Marching Band and the Cleveland Cavaliers. The really before 4 p.m.
