CLEVELAND, Ohio (WJW) – A High Wind Warning is in effect through noon.

It could make driving difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles due to powerful wind gusts.

The High Wind Warning and Watches are for Ashland, Ashtabula, Coshocton, Cuyahoga, Erie, Geauga, Holmes, Huron, Lake, Lorain, Mahoning, Medina, Portage, Richland, Sandusky, Stark, Summit, Trumbull, Tuscarawas, and Ottawa counties.

10:10 a.m. – FirstEnergy reports 50,000 customers without power.

9:55 a.m. – The City of Willoughby posted to Facebook that a tree is down across Rt 84 near Glenwood and Waldemere. It’s preventing traffic from getting through and has caused a power outage. People are being asked to avoid the area.

9:40 a.m. – Shelby firefighters say Myers Road is closed between 39 and Rock. They shared a photo that appears to show a tree down and a damaged vehicle. No other details were provided.

9:30 a.m. – FirstEnergy reports 66,000 people are without power.

9:03 a.m. – FirstEnergy power outages have dropped to 72,000.

8:50 a.m. – A tree fell on Lytle Rd. in Shaker Heights overnight. Cleanup has yet to begin.

8:37 a.m. – Westlake viewer shared video with FOX 8 of a power line sparking.

8:35 a.m. – More than 81,000 FirstEnergy customers are without power.

8:24 a.m. – A man in Cortland was hit by a car while clearing debris out of the road. More info here.

8:15 a.m. – Outages have gone down for the first time this morning. 72,000 FirstEnergy customers without power.

7:52 a.m. – More than 79,000 FirstEnergy customers without power.

7:45 a.m. – A power pole fell across Carrington Ave just east of W130th. The road is closed just around pole.

7:23 a.m. – 66,000 FirstEnergy customers are without power.

7:20 a.m. – The pole has been removed from I-480. New reports say 15 cars were damaged.

7 a.m. – A pole down on I-480 is causing traffic problems for the commute.

6:50 a.m. – FirstEnergy reports outages have jumped to 57,000.

6:50 a.m. – Cleveland Public Power reports “outages all over the city.”

6:35 a.m. – Oberlin police say N. Professor is closed due to a tree down. Crews are working to clean it up now.

6:35 a.m. – FirstEnergy power outages have jumped to more than 47,000. The outages are across Northeast Ohio, but the bulk of them are in Summit County.

6:30 a.m. – There are dozens of closings or delays due to power outages. Check the list here.

6:25 a.m. – More than 34,000 FirstEnergy customers have lost power during the High Wind Warning.

6 a.m. – More than 27,000 FirstEnergy customers are without power.

5:45 a.m. – The Geauga County Sheriff’s Office reports Auburn road is closed from Taylor May road to Bartholomew road” due to a large tree down.

5:30 a.m. – FirstEnergy reports 25,000 people without power.

5:05 a.m. – FirstEnergy reports 22,000 people without power.

4:50 a.m. – FirstEnergy reports more than 17,000 people without power. The outages are in Cuyahoga, Lorain, Portage, Lucas, and Clark counties.

4:30 a.m. – A large tree fell across Sloane Ave at Park Row in Lakewood.
It brought down wires with it.
Sloane is closed from Matthews Ave to Park Row.
