SWAT standoff in Lyndhurst ends in arrest

LYNDHURST, Ohio (WJW) – Law enforcement in Lyndhurst say they have taken one man in custody, following a SWAT situation that lasted for several hours at a home in the 1100 block of Gordon Rd.

According to police, officers responded to the home around 2 a.m. Thursday on reports of shots fired.

Police say a woman in the home was able to make it out safely.

Officers say a man barricaded himself inside the home.

SWAT and crisis negotiation teams were able to get the man in custody around 5:30 a.m.

Police say charges are pending and the incident is under investigation.
