LAKEWOOD, Ohio- Lakewood police and the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office are trying to identify a man whose body was found in Lake Erie.
Last week, a man walked through a construction area at Lakewood Park, took off his clothes and went into Lake Erie. A construction worker reported the incident to police, who searched the area with the fire department and Rocky River’s marine unit.

On Saturday, a body washed ashore along the lake. Police said they believe it is the same man from three days earlier.
The man is black, 5 foot 10 and weighs 179 pounds. He was wearing tan shorts, white Hanes socks and gold sunglasses. Lakewood police released photos of the clothing on Wednesday.
