BROOKLYN, OH -- It might be Thanksgiving, but Kmart is open for business.

The retail giant started letting people in at 6:00 a.m. They do it every year, but there's something different this time around; they won't be closing at all.

"Last year, they closed for a few hours to reset the sales and this year, they're just keeping the doors open, so people will keep shopping throughout," said Jill Stamper, the fashions manager at the Kmart in Brooklyn.

Her store has seen a lot of business, but luckily, not a lot of lines.

"We're a 24-hour location, so there were no lines outside. But there were customers waiting for the TV sales and some of the special buys, she said.

Some people set up chairs in the electronics section so they could be the first to grab one of the big ticket items.

Not everyone was in a rush though. Some shoppers showed up later in the day.

"It's my grandson's birthday. He's four, so I wanted to pick up a little cake and get some decorations and stuff for Christmas and get in the holiday spirit," said Linda Zolnowski.

Other customers, like Linda Hennessy, said she really didn't know what she wanted when she got here.

"We just feel like shopping and leaving the guys at home. They're watching the turkey," she said laughing.

Of course, Kmart isn't the only store out there with great deals this holiday. Click here for some Black Friday pointers.
