MADISON TWP., Ohio — At least six juveniles could face charges after three reports of bottle bombs being deployed in Madison Township.
According to the Madison Township Police Department, officers received two complaints of bottle bombs being deployed and exploding.
No one was reported to have been injured, but juveniles from the Madison Township area were questioned about their involvement, and it was discovered that a third bottle bomb was deployed as well.
Bottle bombs are made from basic household items and are dangerous to use because there is no timer on them, according to police. They explode, and chemicals are dispersed through the air. There is a potential for harmful effects if the chemicals get on or are ingested, police said.
The use or manufacture of the bombs carry a second degree felony charge, said police.
Police said there will be a request for charges to be filed with the Lake County Prosecutor’s Office on the juveniles involved.
