LAKEWOOD, Ohio -- Lakewood city leaders are expected to vote tonight on a plan to close Lakewood Hospital, while some community leaders are suing to stop the effort.

State Sen. Michael Skindell filed a lawsuit on Friday to block city council from voting.

A judge will hear the case at 2 p.m.

Lakewood City Council members will vote on the plan tonight at 7 p.m.

The Cleveland Clinic plans to close the hospital and replace it with a family health center and emergency department.
