‘Johnny Football’ was supposed to be ‘Johnny Baseball’ Wednesday night.
Browns player Johnny Manziel was scheduled to throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the Cleveland Indians took on the Boston Red Sox at Progressive Field.
But, after a more than two-hour rain delay, the first pitch was scrapped. The Browns quarterback was introduced to the crowd before he left.
Earlier Wednesday, Manziel tweeted a photo of himself when he was a little boy wearing an Indians jersey and he wrote: “guess it’s just meant to be.”
