It didn’t take long for the world to stand in solidarity with Brussels after Tuesday’s terror attacks at the Belgian capital.
At least 30 were killed, and hundreds were injured after three explosions at a Brussels airport and subway station Tuesday.
The hashtag #JeSuisBrussels, which means ‘I am Brussels’, is just one of many trending worldwide on social media. Others include #PrayForPeace and #WeStandWithYou.
A graphic designed by French cartoonist Plantu has been shared thousands of times. It shows one figure comforting another figure that is cloaked in the flag of Belgium.
Other tributes have designs incorporating the colors of the flag and depicting Tintin, a character created by a Belgian cartoonist.
