BEDFORD, Ohio — The mega sale at soon-to-be closed Walmart stores just got bigger.
Items at the 137 Walmart stores set to close Thursday are now 75% off, up from 50%.
The discount retail giant announced on Jan. 15 it was closing over 100 stores in the U.S. The Rockside Road WalMart in Bedford is among those closing.

Some items are excluded from the discount, including firearms, ammunition, prescriptions, tablets and smartphones. Alcohol and lottery tickets are also not discounted.
The smaller Walmart Express stores, which the company introduced in 2011, make up the majority of the closings, with 102 stores set to close.
